Our holistic approach to hPSC health
In their most recent guidance (June 2023), the ISSCR recommends characterizing hPSCs by testing them at regular intervals. This includes STR profiling to confirm cell line identity at the initial characterization of the master cell bank, as well as STR and iPSC-digital PSC testing at any significant stress or bottleneck (i.e., reprogramming, gene editing), and at the end of the study.

Collection Instructions
Genomic DNA: A minimum concentration of 10 ng/µL with a minimum volume of 40 µL is required*
*Please note if the volume sent is <40µl, it will be leveled to 40µl with H2O then quantified with the Qubit fluorometer.*

Cell Pellet: A minimum of 500,000 cells must be submitted on dry ice. If submitting for bundled cell health services (such as CellCheck, IMPACT, h-IMPACT+iCS Digital) please submit a vial containing a minimum of 1,000,000 cells.
Shipping
Frozen samples are preferred.
Room temperature is acceptable for DNA.
