Histopathologic evaluation of tissues is an important endpoint in preclinical research--let IDEXX BioAnalytics be your histopathology partner from start to finish.

Please join us for this informative webinar where our Histology Supervisor and Head of Anatomic Pathology will take you behind the scenes to show you how your submitted tissue samples are processed, made into slides, evaluated by an Anatomic Pathologist, interpreted and made into a contributing scientist report.

Topics covered will include: tissue processing from start to finish, why standardized tissue collection and trimming are important in research pathology, how tissue samples are graded by an anatomic pathologist, why concurrently submitting the study protocol is important to a pathologist, and the components of a contributing scientist report.

Jennifer L. Brazzell DVM, MVetSc, MRCVS, DACVP (Clinical and Anatomic Pathology)

HEAD OF ANATOMIC PATHOLOGY

Jennifer Brazzell, DVM, MVetSc, MRCVS is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathology--certified in both Clinical and Anatomic Pathology.  Dr. Brazzell spent 10 years working as a diagnostic clinical and anatomic pathologist before switching her focus to research clinical and anatomic pathology.  She has provided clinical and anatomic pathology support to researchers since 2012. Her interests cover all aspects of laboratory animal diagnostic pathology (from zebrafish larvae all the way up to non-human primates!) as well preclinical research pathology. She especially enjoys being able to corroborate anatomic pathology (tissue) findings with clinical pathology (bloodwork) findings.  She says the best part of her job is learning something new from our clients every day—she gets to research their field of expertise in order to provide the most informed pathology support she can.
